The story of Kotthas Foods is no less than an inspiring bollywood story. The Founder, Mr. Kotha Nagar Kumar was born in Pulivendula (Kadapa District) in Andhra Pradesh on 9 Jan, 1963. Despite being born in a poor family, his ambitions were always reaching the skies. He was raised by his mother Saraswathamma after losing his father at a very tender age of 10. After successfully completing his schooling in Kadapa he joined night college as he had to work in a hardware & Sanitary shop in the morning. Working and studying simultaneously, he burnt the midnight oil and pursued his graduation in B.A.
In 1983, following the path shown by his mother Saraswathamma, he started his own venture of selling a South Indian food masala product called “Rasam”. Despite being a very small scale setup where he sold the product himself on a bicycle, his venture was viewed as highly successful and other people in the market were left awestruck.
With continuous appreciation by the public, he later named his product `Ganesh Rasam powder’ in 1985 and in early 2000’s he added Kotthas(his surname) to the brand and that was the foundation step of Kottha’s Foods. Kadapa being well connected with all means of transport, logistics are a thing not to worry about. They even have their own big manufacturing units where they maintain quality checkups and other similar procedures. In addition to this, they have 2000 sqft retail space showcasing their exclusive products. They are also looking at giving out franchise outlets across PAN India.
