Mr. Kottha Naga Kumar, the founder of Kottha’s Ganesh, was born in Pulivendula, Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh on the 9th of January 1963. His financial backward family background was not a deterrent for his ambition to reach the skies. Unfortunately, he lost his father at a tender age of 10 years. At this time, he was ably supported by his brave mother, Saraswathamma, who ensured that he completed his schooling and joined college.
He joined night college to take up a job in a hardware and sanitary shop during the day. He burnt the midnight oil to complete graduation in arts. Guided by his mother, he embarked on his venture of selling “Rasam” in 1983. During his initial days, he sold the product on bicycle. To his amazement, people welcomed his product and made it a successful venture.
People loved his product and on popular demand, he christened it to “Ganesh Rasam Powder” in 1985. In 2000, he added his last name, “Kottha” to the brand, which was the foundation of “Kottha’s foods”. Thus, Mr. Kottha, a one-man army, took a brave leap of faith to start and grow his venture beginning with a small, homemade product called “rasam”. This is an inspiring story of an Indian hero, especially for kids who have lost their parents early.Kadapa is strategically connected by various means of transport and logistics.
